Responsibilities
- As the UX Designer for Relaxy, I collaborated with the team to identify opportunities, validate ideas, and design the MVP through iterative experiments.
- Conducted user research, A/B testing, and data analysis to pinpoint features that would most effectively drive user conversion.
- Translated project objectives into a fully designed and interactive prototype, ensuring alignment with user needs and business goals.
Process
I applied Lean UX principles while working on Relaxy, which was essential for the startup environment. The process is built on three core principles: Think, Make, and Check/Test, allowing continuous product improvement with each cycle.
The process began by identifying the target customers or end users. I developed personas to outline the target audience, ensuring the team and organization stayed aligned on the same users.
Collect and Analyze Data
To identify user issues and pain points (underserved customer needs), I conducted user interviews, surveys, and competitor analysis, and examined related products. This approach allowed me to gather comprehensive primary and secondary data. I also prepared a detailed competitor analysis report for Relaxy.
Prioritized key features and established the value proposition
To determine which features to develop, prioritization is essential. I categorized features into three groups:
- Must-Have
- Performance Benefits
- Delighters
Note: Due to an NDA, I cannot share the feature list, but I followed the Kano Model by Dr. Noriaki Kano for this process.
Ideation and build the product
Sketching is a quick and efficient way to explore ideas and filter out ineffective ones. Before starting the UI design, I created rough low-fidelity wireframes for each feature using pen and paper.
UI Design & Prototype
During this phase, I began designing in Figma, working closely with teams to gather feedback. I also developed a design system and style guidelines to assist the development team.
User Testing
This is the final stage of Lean UX, where you evaluate the product with users to validate or invalidate your hypotheses. In this phase, I conducted tests with multiple users and collected data to prepare a comprehensive report. I carried out one-to-one calls and utilized Maze to facilitate the user testing process.
